After years of hiatus and procrastinating blogging, I finally decided to give this blog a refresh and do my best to share with you stories, some random thoughts and of course beautiful imagery. I just felt reminded that the reasons I am staying really in love with photography are the people that I get to meet and knowing them better and their stories. Exquisite, beautiful and fun filled creation of this art is what draws us to the captured image but most of the time there are quite so much story behind the art pieces that my subjects co-create. I regret for not sharing with you so many amazing shots and Images and probably will have to do lots of throwbacks to relive and tell those wonderful stories.
For my blog comeback, let’s restart with Jenn and Jimmy’s engagement shoot.
I have personally known and have been friends with Jenn for more than three years now as we attend the same Church, Southside Baptist Church in Tampa. She is such a sweet lady who has an outrageously funny family!
Way before she met the lucky guy, she made a deal with her dad regarding her future wedding. She explicitly told him that she ONLY wanted two things: a very nice dress and Jeruel to take her photos for that special day!! awww :D.
She really wanted to wait for the right guy and all of our friends have been rooting for her to find that special one. One day, Jenn and a common friend were at Starbucks and they were talking that there were no guys out there that met all her standards. The friend scoured her facebook and there she showed Jimmy’s profile (who lives in New York) and Jenn thought that he was hot. Their friend took it upon herself and messaged Jimmy about Jenn so the two started to get acquainted through facebook. Jimmy knew he couldn’t miss the chance of knowing Jenn more so he made trips to come down to Florida.
Jimmy’s first visit was an unforgettable one. Doubtful on whether things between them two will work out or not, he decided to just drive from New York to Tampa so he could easily go home just in case things would get unfavorable. However, when he saw Jenn for the first time, it was like one of those eureka moments. In his own words, “her photos does not even justify how beautiful she is” and the days he spent there made him realized she is the kind of girl he had prayed for.
Anyhow, I’m I am definitely humbled of their appreciation of my art and I really do value the trust of having me to capture their wedding. I am looking forward to witness and snap wonderful memories on their special day on October!
As for now, I am delighted to share with you some of their engagement shots that we took around Tampa. What a joy it is to be able to spend time people in love and call it work!
